from Stone Kisses
Nathan shook his head slightly and looked innocently at her.
“You said so last time you were here.” He knew it was a lie, but it was a smaller lie than creeping into her house and making love to her.
Stella considered what he’d said, and decided that maybe she’d told him. Her memory of that day was overshadowed by the loss of Justin.
Nathan couldn't pass up this chance of meeting Stella for real, but didn’t know how to continue, and he sighed so that she looked at him, and smiled.
“That was a big sigh Nathan,” she said naturally, and Nathan sighed again.
“Are you looking for anything in particular?” he asked her, waving his hand over the area covered in plants the color of jewels.
It was Stella's turn to sigh then, and under her breath, she said ‘Mercury’.
It wasn’t meant to be heard, but Nathan heard it, and his heart lifted.
“There are other statues if you would like to look at them,” he told her.
Stella was surprised into wondering if he could have heard her.
“I was looking for a few water plants actually. I have a pond in my garden,” she told him, and her look was wistful.
Nathan grinned and it lit his lovely green eyes. He looked beautiful and Stella’s heart skipped along, she could almost believe this was Mercury standing before her.
She blinked to pull herself together as a blush crept up from her neck to her cheeks. She vividly remembered Mercury’s head between her legs, and then her own lips surrounding a body part of his the last time she dreamed of them, and she glanced down at Nathan’s jean clad lower body. This is awful she thought, what’s the matter with me?
Nathan had noticed and he felt that very soon there would be a bulge in that area of his jeans if he didn’t watch out. He turned to lead her to the water plants area.
“Okay we have lots of water plants” he said, and walked off intending her to follow.
